Watch PyroDinos light up to music!

Bioluminescent dinoflagellates stimulated by sound (music). A nod to their Phototrophic nature, we chose the song 'Phototrophic'.  During their nighttime phase, dinoflagellates will release light (bioluminescence) when disturbed.  In this example, the disruption is caused by sound waves.  As the music intensifies the light also intensifies.

Music is a great agitator for our PyroDinos.  You can perform several experiments using sound and sound waves as a source of stimulation for light production.
