You probably heard it from someone, Seventy-one percent of the Earth's surface is covered by water and over 95% of Earth's water is in its oceans.  But did you know that over 70% of the oxygen we breathe comes from the oceans?  Yes, primarily from tiny plant-plankton called phytoplankton.  These phytoplankton are producing most of the air you are inhaling right now.  

PyroFarms grows and sells bioluminescent phytoplankton, plankton that can produce light at night and fresh oxygen during the daytime.  We sell phytoplankton that we call PyroDinos.  PyroDinos use sunlight to grow (like a plant) and produce a brilliant blue light at night called bioluminescence. 

We plan on using half of the grant for funding educational material for classrooms and teachers.  And to use these funds to build a traveling bioluminescent plankton exhibit that will highlight the importance of these ocean plankton.
