Feeding and Cleaning Your Bio-Orb

There are three (3) main protocols for reviving an overgrown Bio-Orb or PyroDino micro-aquarium. In this segment, we review how to address mature PyroDino containers overgrown with PyroDinos.

There are three main protocols in this video:

1) Simple pour-off and feed (add DinoNutrients). 0 - 6:00

2) Pour off with the removal of bottom debris. 6:10 - 11:30

3) Pour off with a cleaning step (cleaning protocol) to wash out the micro-aquarium. 11:40 - 21:00

PyroDinos: bioluminescent marine single-cell plankton (algae)

Bio-Orb: glass sphere micro-aquarium for growing PyroDinos

Bio-Turtle: glass turtle micro-aquarium for growing PyroDinos

DinoNutrients: Filter purified Pacific Ocean seawater with added nutrients for growing PyroDinos.

Blue Boost DinoNutrients: Filter purified Pacific Ocean seawater with added nutrients and antimicrobial agents for growing PyroDinos (with added UV protection)

About PyroFarms PyroFarms grows and sells bioluminescent phytoplankton, plankton that can produce light at night and fresh oxygen during the daytime. We sell phytoplankton that we call PyroDinos. PyroDinos use sunlight to grow (like a plant) and produce a brilliant blue light at night called bioluminescence.

The Bioluminescent Bio-Orb offers a complete system to grow PyroDinos. The Bio-Orb is a glass sphere with a flat bottom and a specially designed stopper to allow air exchange but prevents excessive evaporation. The Bio-Orb provides the ideal environment for growing PyroDinos at home in the office or school.

PyroDinos also remove the greenhouse gas CO2 from your environment, getting you closer to carbon neutral. PyroDinos with the oceans' phytoplankton remove more CO2 than all land plants combined, thus making them our number one ally for fighting climate change.
