United StatesThis was the second time I purchased the dinoflagellates. The first time was the DinoPet a few years ago which I thoroughly enjoyed. I recently purchased the glass bio orb for my seventh grade science class while we were learning about microscopes, cells, and intertidal zones. My students and I were disappointed that the dinoflagellates died after only a few days. They did not get to experience seeing its bioluminescence. I believe this was due to the glass globe being too cold (although kept in room temperature, it does fluctuate in the evenings and weekends). However, I emailed requesting a new pouch and received the order confirmation that same day. I am pleased with the costumer service. I liked both packets of care information (dino-pet booklet and instruction card that came with recent purchase) but the booklet provided much more information that I used with my lesson plan. I think it would be a great idea to have an educator right up a few lesson plans that could be used with this item and marketed to schools.
United StatesI’ve not set it up yet but from opening the box I’m concerned about the process to setting it up as it did not really come with instructions...or which pack goes with what orb. I’m giving 4 stars in hopes that the setup will go easily.
